Orlando Vacation Rental with Waterpark Included — Is It Worth It?

  • Posted on

When families search for vacation rentals near Disney World, one feature comes up again and again in reviews and wish lists: a waterpark. Not just a pool — a full resort waterpark, with lazy rivers, water slides, and splash zones, included with the rental.

The good news? It exists. The better news? Two of our three Orlando Magical Villas include exactly that.

Here's an honest breakdown of what waterpark access actually means, which properties include it, and why it can transform your Orlando vacation.

What Does "Waterpark Included" Actually Mean?

Not all "waterpark access" is created equal. Some vacation rentals advertise waterpark access but mean a small resort pool with a single slide. Others deliver the real deal: multiple pools, multi-story water slides, lazy rivers, splash zones for little kids, cabana rentals, and full food & beverage service.

Our two waterpark-included villas — ChampionsGate Magical Villa and Windsor Magical Villa — both deliver genuine resort-quality waterpark experiences:

ChampionsGate Magical Villa — Two Full Resort Clubs

ChampionsGate Magical Villa guests receive full access to two resort clubs: the Oasis Club and The Retreat at ChampionsGate. Between the two clubs, guests have access to waterparks with multi-story water slides and lazy rivers, splash zones for younger children, resort pools, fitness centers, and on-site dining and bar service. Two completely different waterpark experiences without leaving the resort community.

Windsor Magical Villa — Windsor Island Resort Amenities

Windsor Magical Villa guests enjoy full access to Windsor Island Resort amenities, which include a resort waterpark, pickleball courts, and one of the largest playgrounds in any Orlando resort community. The waterpark features water slides and family-friendly attractions — all included with your villa booking.  NEW Climbing wall.

Why Waterpark Access Changes Your Vacation

Here's the thing about Orlando: the parks are incredible, but they're also exhausting. By day 3 or 4, even the most enthusiastic kids (and adults) hit a wall. A rest day from the theme parks is not just desirable — it's necessary.

This is where a vacation rental with waterpark access completely changes the dynamic:

  • Built-in rest days that don't feel like rest days — A resort waterpark day is a full, active, memorable day for kids — without any of the walking, waiting, and sensory overload of the theme parks. Parents get a chance to recharge. Kids get their thrills.
  • Dramatic cost savings — A day at Disney's Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon costs $50–$70 per person. A family of 5 pays $250–$350 for a water park day — on top of their Disney park tickets. When a full waterpark experience is included with your villa, those days become completely free.
  • Flexible scheduling — Unlike Disney parks, your resort waterpark doesn't require reservations, Lightning Lane planning, or rope drops. Wake up, grab your towels, walk over. That simplicity is genuinely luxurious after days of park logistics.
  • A home base that keeps the family entertained — Even on park days, younger kids who need an afternoon nap can stay at the villa with grandparents or a parent while others head to the waterpark. The flexibility a resort waterpark provides to a large group is invaluable.

Based on 7-night stays with 2 waterpark days for a family of 5: waterpark access included with your villa saves approximately $500–$700 in admission costs — before food and merchandise.

What About Encore Magical Villa?

Encore Magical Villa — our third property, just 5.5 miles from Disney World — does not include waterpark access. Encore Resort's amenities include volleyball, basketball, and soccer courts, plus on-site dining. The villa itself features a private heated pool and spa, themed kids' rooms, game loft, and movie room.

Encore Magical Villa is our strongest pick for families whose primary focus is Disney World proximity and who plan to spend most of their time at the parks. The 5.5-mile distance to Disney is the shortest of our three properties and a genuine differentiator for guests doing multiple park days.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to pay extra for waterpark access at ChampionsGate or Windsor?

No — waterpark access is included with your villa booking at both ChampionsGate Magical Villa and Windsor Magical Villa. There are no additional per-person admission fees for the resort waterparks.

Are the resort waterparks open year-round?

Both resort club facilities are available throughout the year, though hours and operating days may vary by season. During slower seasons, The Retreat Club may operate on a reduced schedule, closing Monday through Wednesday. The Oasis Club remains your primary resort hub on those days — and with its lazy river, waterpark, and dining, it's more than enough. Always check with us before your trip so we can confirm current hours and help you plan accordingly.

Is the waterpark at the resort the same as Disney's Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon?

No — Disney's water parks are separate ticketed attractions located on Disney property. The waterparks at ChampionsGate and Windsor Island are private resort facilities included with your villa stay. They are resort-quality experiences with water slides, lazy rivers, and family amenities, but are distinct from Disney's water parks.
